of the Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia Canada, provides
a combination of fishing legendary for Chinook and Coho Salmon,
Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish (Yelloweye), and other assorted
bottom fish. We are home to some of the World's Top anglers!
Queen
Charlotte Safaris offers World Class Sport Fishing. This
is the place to come if you are looking for an adventure that
offers a remote wilderness location, spectacular scenery,
abundant wildlife, a variety of terrific fishing opportunities,
and the personal service you expect from a small lodge. This
is "West Coast Fishing" in the Cartwright Sound.
Our
fishing season at Queen Charlotte Safaris starts in May and
runs through September, and we offer a choice of 3 or 4 days
of fishing for King Salmon (Chinook), Silver salmon (Coho)
Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish and Yelloweye. Our 22 to 28 foot
boats comfortably accommodate 4 guests (5 by request), and
are fully equipped. Fishing gear, tackle, bait and rain gear
are provided, along with the latest navigation, safety equipment,
fish-finders and electrical down riggers … and all have
covered cabins and flush toilets. After a long day of fishing,
relax in the evening because Queen Charlotte Safaris provides
you with processing of your fish, including blast freezing.
Our casual yet luxurious Lodge over looks gorgeous Shingle
Bay in Sandspit, BC, and is only minutes from the airport.
The "state of the art" Sandspit Harbor and Marina
is conveniently located across from our lodge and within walking
distance to our boats. At Queen Charlotte Safaris we limit
the size of our groups to 28 guests per session, allowing
us to give you exceptional personal service. The spacious
dining and living rooms have ocean and creek side views, and
our rooms (equipped with a private shower and bathroom) accommodate
two singles or one couple. Here you can watch the eagles soar
overhead or enjoy a beautiful British Columbia view while
relaxing on the deck. The Lodge features all the dining amenities
of a fine restaurant, and our chef and staff is committed
to serving all your needs. Breakfast, lunch and dinners are
all included in your package.
The two largest islands that Queen Charlotte Safaris calls
home are Graham Island to the North, and Moresby Island to
the South. Graham Island is where the majority of the five-thousand
inhabitants live, while Moresby Island features the famous
Gwaii Haanas National Park / Reserve. There are vast areas
of interest and opportunities for exploring the Haida villages,
totems poles, ancient inlets, outer shores, temperate rainforests,
beaches and coves.
