Sol Mountain Touring … our lodge is located in the southern Monashee Mountains east of Monashee Provincial Park, 60 km south of Revelstoke, approximately 50km Northwest of Nakusp, British Columbia, and 60km east of Silver Star ski resort in Vernon, BC. Easily accessible from the Kelowna International Airport.

At Sol Mountain Touring our focus is on the quality and style of mountain living.

Our three-storey lodge sleeps 16 guests in private two person bedrooms and is complete with indoor bathrooms. Comforts include a separate stretching room on the second floor and covered decks to enjoy the afternoon sun. Spacious view windows rim the dining and living space on the main floor.

The key element to great backcountry skiing is terrain - and Sol Mountain Lodge sits at 6,200 feet in the middle of 30,000 acres of BC's southern Monashee Mountains snow-belt. Head north from our front door is Monashee Provincial Park with dramatic skiing in alpine terrain. Head south to Twin Peaks and Mount Baldur, each boasting summit-to-creek runs of 3,000 feet and longer. Immediately to the east puts you at steep tree skiing, dropping into the head of North Fosthall Creek.

Rolling meadows surrounding the lodge and easy access to ridges above offers great snowshoeing and cross country touring. Summer hiking offers easy access to alpine ridges, lakes, and peaks.

All of this terrain - a complete mix of steep and moderate tree skiing, open glades, open alpine bowls, and steep alpine chutes - sits between 4,500 and 8,500 feet above sea level … and most of this backcountry terrain remains to be explored. Snow? Over the last three years, the settled snow pack of the southern Monashee snow-belt has been over three metres at the lodge site.

Choose from 4,6, or 7 night skiing and snowshoeing trips in the winter and hiking and fishing in the summer.
